
Silvia Zanini

Postdoctoral researcher
Silvia Zanini is a researcher specialising in animal law. In 2020 she earned a PhD in ecosystem and wildlife protection at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, followed by three years of postdoctoral research at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, working on animal welfare and precision livestock farming (ClearFarm project).
She is currently a research fellow in comparative public law at the University of Trieste, working on ecological law and the ecosystem approach (Lumen project). She is also Senior Teaching Assistant for the course Working on non-Human Animals Law and Rights in the EU (Whale) at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She has been collaborating with Animal Law Italia since 2021.
