Enrico Moriconi

A degree with honours in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Turin, with postgraduate specialisations in inspection of food of animal origin and in animal health and livestock hygiene. A former veterinarian of the Italian public health service. From 2018 to 2023 he served as Animal Rights Ombudsman of the Piedmont Region.

He has authored over 20 scientific publications, 10 articles in specialist journals and 19 books, and wrote the story for the documentary "La fabbrica degli animali", directed by A. Marena. His record includes over 230 talks at conventions, conferences and training courses, expert-witness work for courts and parties, 71 professional opinions and consultancies, 220 conference appearances and 170 media and outreach contributions (audio, video, press).
